EduEire Limited operates the EduEire website and services.

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, please email support@edueire.ie.

2. Who the service is for

EduEire is designed for teachers and other adult education stakeholders, such as school leaders or school staff. It is not intended for student use.

You must not enter student personal data into the service.

3. What data we collect

We may collect:

  • your name and email address
  • account and login details
  • lesson inputs, lesson outputs, and saved lesson history
  • subscription and billing status
  • messages you send to us
  • technical and security-related usage data
  • analytics data, but only where you have agreed to non-essential analytics

4. How we use your data

We use personal data to:

  • create and manage your account
  • provide the Lesson Planner service
  • save and retrieve your content
  • process subscriptions and payments
  • respond to support requests
  • keep the service secure and reliable
  • understand service usage where you have agreed to analytics
  • meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations

Depending on the activity, we use the following legal bases:

  • contract, where we need your data to provide the service
  • legitimate interests, where we need to run, protect, and improve the service
  • consent, for non-essential analytics or tracking
  • legal obligation, where we must keep or use certain records under the law

6. Payments

Payments are handled by third-party payment providers such as Stripe. EduEire does not store your full card details.

We use strictly necessary technologies to run the service.

We may also use non-essential analytics, but only where you have given consent. We do not activate non-essential analytics before consent.

Session recording is disabled.

8. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share data with service providers who help us operate the service, including providers for:

  • authentication
  • payments
  • hosting and infrastructure
  • error monitoring
  • analytics, where you have consented
  • backup and uptime monitoring

We may also disclose data where required by law or where needed to protect our legal rights or the security of the service.

9. International transfers

Some service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area.

Where that happens, we use appropriate safeguards required under data protection law.

10. How long we keep data

We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy.

In general:

  • account and lesson data are kept while your account remains active
  • deleted account data is scheduled for removal after a defined deletion period, subject to legal and technical exceptions
  • billing, legal, and accounting records may be kept where required by law
  • backup data may remain until it expires through normal backup rotation

11. Your rights

You may have the right to:

  • access your personal data
  • correct inaccurate data
  • request deletion of your data
  • restrict or object to certain processing
  • receive a copy of relevant data in a portable format where applicable
